Description
In 2009, Bentley unveiled their new Continental Supersports which was indecently quick with 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph, making it the fastest and the most powerful production Bentley ever.
The twin-turbocharged, 6.0-litre W12 engine produced 621bhp and 590 lbs.ft of torque and is capable of running on both gasoline and E85 bioethanol.
With a revised ZF automatic gearbox employing a quick-shift system, gearchange times were reduced by 50%.
In order to cope with the increased power, it was necessary to fit carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide ceramic disc brakes - the largest and most powerful brakes ever fitted to a production car.
A Supersports GTC is a rare and desirable car and this, UK-supplied, right-hand drive example, is finished in the desirable combination of Onyx Black with a black convertible roof.
