AI Listing Summary

This is a unique, fire-damaged 1938 Austin Ascot Light 12 Saloon that was cleverly rebuilt into a 1940s-style flatbed pickup truck. It features a high-quality maroon over black finish with a red interior and a handcrafted iron-strapped pickup bed, making it ideal for show or promotion, though it will require recommissioning due to limited recent use.

The car is described as a 'delightful re-creation' with 'excellent attention to detail throughout'. However, it has been part of a collection with little use and requires recommissioning to return it to the road. The fire damage and subsequent rebuild into a flatbed truck indicate that while the work is of a high standard, it is not original. There is an element of recommissioning to be expected to return it to the road once again.
