On the button and ready for the 2018 season Check our website for further information At the end of the 1969 season, Eric Broadley, owner of Lola Cars realised that he was unable to sustain the economic effort needed, particularly in engine development, to build a car capable of competing with the Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 in the World Championships for Makes.
He decided to build a car to compete in the new Sports 2-Litre Championship, where the wide availability of engines would ease the economic effort and expanded the customer base.
The resulting Lola T210 was an open sports car with an aluminium monocoque, lighter and more rigid than a conventional tube frame but more difficult to build and repair.
