A truly nostalgic part of the seventies Britsh motorsport scene...
Ginetta has played an important part in small volume sportscar construction and club motorsport from its humble origins in Suffolk from the early 1950's, however, it was not until the arrival of the G4 through to the G15 that notable race successes happened.
Alongside the core business of car construction the Walklett family continued to support individuals who chose to race their products, often with ‘giant killing' wins against top volume manufacturers.
Offered here is the most famous Ginetta G15 of all time.
In 1977, driven by David Beams it was outright winner of the Certina Swiss Watches Production Sports Championship and class winner of the Silverstone Production Sports Car Championship.
From nineteen starts this nimble little Ginetta won seventeen races with numerous lap records along the way.
It is probably best remembered for an epic battle for the lead against Martin Birrane's Jaguar V12 E-Type at Brands...
