The BRA 289 was the first replica 289 to be produced in the UK.
Moulded from an original Cobra 289 the car was designed by John Berry and Peter Ibbotson in Doncaster, over 260 were produced between 1981 and 1998 when production ceased.
During the later days of production the car was known as the Tyler 289, the project having been purchased by Tyler Mouldings in 1996.
Gerry Hawkridge was one of the first BRA customers he later went on to join the management of the company.
When BRA ceased production he went on to form Hawk from his base in South-East from the remains of BRA.
Offered from a deceased estate this lovely BRA 289 MkII example is fitted with a Rover 3.9 V8 engine mated to 5-speed gearbox.
It has been in the hands of a Daimler Motor Company trained engineer for the past 8 years in which time it has been rigoursly maintained and much loved.
