Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This 1975 Lamborghini Espada S2, chassis #8116, boasts a rich history with a UK origin and a handful of owners. Restored in the 1990s with a respray, Connolly hide interior, and rebuilt mechanics, it now features a panoramic flexiglass roof, Miura SV style wheels, and Ansa exhaust pipes, blending classic appeal with personalized touches.
Condition
7
While the car has had extensive restoration work, including a bare metal respray and interior retrimming, it also has modifications like Ansa exhaust pipes and Miura SV style wheels, deviating from its original factory condition. The description highlights the quality of the respray and refurbishment, but the modifications and the fact that it's not entirely original prevent it from being rated higher.

Description
Undoubtedly, one of the most important supercars of our time and the recipient of significant recent restoration works...
The Lamborghini Espada is a grand tourer which was built by Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini between 1968 and 1978.
Based on the Marzal show car, displayed at the 1967 Geneva Auto Show, and the Bertone Pirana, it was to fill the void for a true four seat car in Lamborghini's lineup, which already included the 350GT and Miura.
Reported sales figures made it the most successful Lamborghini model at the time.
The car was designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone and well recognised as a vehicle with true drivers car reputation despite having four seats.
The name "Espada" translates as "sword" in Spanish, depicting the sword of bullfighters.
The Espada S1 was originally fitted with a 4.0 Litre 325bhp V12
Engine, fully independent suspension, disc brakes to all four wheels and manual transmission.
Automatic transmission was a later option but rarely ordered.
