Trimmed in Beige Connolly (VM 102) leather and fitted with air conditioning, it was delivered to its first owner Giuseppe Pennacchi in Rome in May 1970.

The Daytona was subsequently exported to the United States where it was repainted black and its interior was retrimmed in black leather.
