In 1982, Ferrari’s 308 series received an update.

Chiefly, the transverse-mounted 2.9-litre V-8 benefitted from new heads, improving the engine’s power, responsiveness, and efficiency.

Fittingly, it was named the 308 “Quattrovalvole” for its four valves per cylinder.

Prior revisions from 1981 included a deeper front fascia, optional rear aerofoil, power mirrors, and Speedline wheels.

In total, just 748 examples of the 308 GTB QV were built over four years.

of Zürich, this Rosso Chiaro over Beige Ferrari 308 GTB QV had its warranty card issued on 14 April 1984 to first owner, Werner Stauffacher.

He later placed the car in his wife’s name and regularly maintained the vehicle, with the service book showing maintenance up to 21,000 kilometres from 1984 to 2001.

In March 2004, this Ferrari was sold by the Stauffacher’s to its next owner in Zürich.

Later, the consigning collector acquired this 308 GTB QV.
