Few competition cars can rival Porsche’s 996-generation 911 GT3 series in terms of either its versatility or achievements.

Indeed, not only did it score multiple “Blue Riband” GT class victories at Daytona, Le Mans, and Sebring—including an unlikely overall win at the former in 2003—but it also enjoyed victories in the GT-only Spa and Nürburgring 24 Hour races, not to mention the titles it secured in series as diverse as FIA GT, ALMS GT, ELMS GT, and Grand-Am.

Configured in desirable 2002 model year, RS-specification—complete with potent 435 horsepower engine—this particular chassis initially competed in that year’s European GTP series, participating 12 times at tracks including Spa-Francorchamps, Mugello, Zandvoort, Dijon-Prenois, and Monza.

Thereafter it competed in the 2006 Porsche Sports Cup with former Mercedes-Benz Works driver and DTM legend Roland Asch at the wheel, prior to further outings in 2009 with German driver R.
