Condition

7

While the car is described as "well-preserved" and accompanied by historical documentation, the presence of "attractive worn wood-trimmed interior" suggests it is not in pristine condition, but rather has some age-related wear. Given the description and the need for some level of refreshing, it is likely in very good condition.

Introduced at the Turin Motor Show in 1935, the Fiat 1500 featured striking aerodynamic styling penned by Dante Giacosa and was one of the first European automobile designs to be honed using a wind tunnel.

Instant aerodynamic advantages included headlamps blended into the front wings, while recessed door handles aided in the effort to cut through the air.

Under the bonnet, an overhead valve six-cylinder engine delivered 43 horsepower through a four-speed gearbox to the rear wheels.

Two body styles were offered from the factory, a four-door berlina and convertible.

This car, chassis 025298, is a well-preserved example of the Fiat 1500.

Completed by the factory on 11 March 1938, its first owner took delivery in Rome.

Today, it is presented with an attractive worn wood-trimmed interior, complemented by grey cloth seats and an orderly dashboard.

The car is accompanied by a Automotoclub Storico Italiano Certificato di Identità, full documentation from the Automobile Club d’Italia lis...
