In the mid-1920s, Cadillac developed a vehicle that it hoped would be unrivalled in power and comfort.

The result spoke for itself in 1930, when the American marque announced its new “V-16” model, powered by a 7.4-litre V-16 engine.

Early sales success exceeded expectations, especially in the wake of the Great Depression.

The V-16 was available in various body styles, with the Roadster body considered by many to be the most desirable.

This V-16 was dispatched on 18 March 1930 as a seven-passenger sedan and delivered to the Stockell Motor Car Company of Nashville, Tennessee.

Though its early history is not known, the car is presented with an attractive roadster body constructed by Mr.

Marc S.

Ohm of St.

Louis, Missouri, a renowned collector and restorer.

Mr.

Ohm acquired the Cadillac in 1986 from its previous owner in Guildford, Connecticut.
