The Lola B12/80 was the LMP2 version of the larger B08/60 chassis and was available with powerplants from one of Nissan, Honda HPD, Lotus or, as with this example, the Judd BMW M3 V-8.

With the large spinal fin, the car featured excellent stability at speed—a must for a machine designed to go nearly 200 mph down the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans.

Formerly owned by Dempsey Racing and with IMSA history, the car notably placed 7th in the 2.75-hour Lime Rock Park race.

It finished 9th at the 2.75-hour Mid-Ohio race, and 9th once more at 4 Hours of Road America.

Chassis number HU05 also made an appearance at Laguna Seca and competed at the 2012 Petit Le Mans.

This example is one of the last racing cars to be completed by Lola before they ceased operations in 2012.

Throughout 2019, major mechanical work was carried out on chassis number HU05.

JUDD supplied and fitted a rebuilt HK V-8 LMP2 engine for just over €76,000.
