Shortly after the arrival of the stunning V-16 in 1930, Cadillac followed up its masterstroke with the introduction of a V-12 engine based on the same overhead-valve architecture designed by Owen Nacker.

These two prestigious multi-cylinder models cemented Cadillac’s status as America’s premier luxury automobile manufacturer.

Neatly positioned in the middle of the range, the Series 370 V-12 offered superior power and refinement over the eight, while being lighter and more sporting than the V-16.

Styling came courtesy of Harley Earl’s recently formed Art and Colour department, with all standard catalogued bodies constructed by GM subsidiaries Fisher or Fleetwood.

All cars had luxurious Fleetwood-trimmed interiors.

Today, as it was in period, the Cadillac Series 370 V-12 is one of the most desirable Classic Era American motor cars, with sophistication and prestige in abundance.
