Launched over seven decades ago as the first 4 wheel Morgan the 4/4 and later Plus Four is the purest expression of the four-wheeled Morgan.
The Third series Plus 4 introduced in late 2004, is powered by the Ford Duratec 20 DOHC I4 engine of two litres displacement.
Power is 143 bhp (108 kW) at 6000 rpm, which is plenty in car with a dry weight of 950kg giving a 0-60mph time of just over 7 seconds.
A Galvanised chassis fitted from 1995 onwards does not rust and post-1998 cars have stainless steel valances and front bulkheads.
Also in 2004 the hood was replaced by the simpler and more convenient Easy-up hood and in 2012, a Mazda five-speed gearbox replaced the Ford unit.
