The final iteration of the wedge-shaped, mid-engined supercar, the S4 Esprit was unveiled in 1994, with the halo twin-turbocharged V8 model being added to the range from 1996 onwards.

With its softer front end and impressive presence, it was now more of a supercar bruiser than the original lightweight wedge, baiting the likes of Ferraris and Porsches of the era, and even spawning a GT1 variant for racing.

This particular Esprit was used to showcase the 1998MY changes by Lotus at the 1997 London Show, and was confirmed to be a 1-of-1 specification produced that year.
