Here at PistonHeads, we salute Toyota for continuing to produce the GT86 (or, at least, its successor, the GR86) even to this day.

They’re flying the flag for the kind of no-nonsense, small, rear-wheel drive car which is designed to put you in tune with the road and put an enormous smile on your face.

It doesn’t come with all the excess baggage we’ve become accustomed to, with modern cars becoming ever bulkier and ever heavier.

Instead, the designers at Toyota have kept things simple, direct, and to-the-point.
The example offered here was built in 2014 and, as such, was not subject to the valve spring recall, and more recently it has been the recipient of extensive work to improve its performance.
