The 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera S, introduced as part of the 991.2 update, represents a significant step forward in the evolution of the 911.

For the first time, the Carrera S moved to a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, replacing the naturally aspirated engines used in earlier generations.

This new unit produces around 414 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, delivered from just 1,700 rpm, giving the car strong, easy performance in everyday driving as well as on longer, faster journeys.

When fitted with PDK and the optional Sport Chrono package, as this example is, it can accelerate from 0 – 62 mph in under 4 seconds and reach a top speed close to 190 mph.

Despite this performance, the 991.2 generation brought improved efficiency and lower emissions compared with the earlier 991.1 models.
