While the French government encouraged automakers to invest in cycle-cars through tax incentives, Citroën chose to focus on small cars instead.

The 5HP was the first Citroën to enter the small car segment, which was then dominated by Peugeot and Renault.

Its success was such that, at that time, it accounted for nearly half of Citroën’s sales.

In 1923, a 3-seater convertible version—with two seats in the front and one in the rear—was introduced, earning it the nickname “5 HP Trèfle.”
The model offered is a 3-seater torpedo (T3-2) or “Trèfle” with 3 seats.

The body is also based on a wooden frame, onto which the preformed sheet metal panels are nailed.


This model is presented as a restoration project.

Having been out of service for about twenty years, a complete restoration is required.
