The changes made to the 3rd series of E-Types concerned aesthetics as well as mechanical aspects (track widening), but it was above all the introduction of the 5.3-liter V12 engine that characterized this series.

This block was very modern for its time, breaking with the classicism of long-stroke cast-iron 6-cylinders.

Well-maintained, it proved more reliable, running remarkably smoothly and delivering powerful acceleration thanks to its 46 mkg of torque.
This Jaguar Type E V12 Cabriolet was sold new in the USA in 1974.

Imported into France in the early 2010s, it benefited from extensive engine work, including a complete rebuild of the cylinder heads and carburetors.

The gearbox was then checked, the flywheel resurfaced and the clutch replaced by the Ares workshops.
