AI Listing Summary

This 1996 BMW 318i Convertible is a French-registered classic from Munich, boasting a reliable 1.8L engine perfect for cruising. Recent maintenance includes suspension and radiator work, though an inspection for ball joint play is recommended, making it a well-preserved but not perfect example.

Condition

7

The car is described as a coherent, well-preserved convertible, suggesting it's in good condition overall. However, there's mention of possible excessive play in the front left ball joint, indicating a need for inspection and potential repair, and slight wear may be visible. Therefore, a rating of 'Very Good' seems appropriate.

- One of Munich's classics
- The pleasure of a classic, simple and authentic Convertible
A true icon of the 90s, the BMW 3 Series Cabriolet E36 combines the timeless elegance of Bavarian lines with renowned reliability.
Under the hood of the 318i version, the robust 4-cylinder 1.8L (115 hp) timing chain engine shines through in terms of smoothness and ease of maintenance.

Far from demanding sportiness, this tried-and-tested powertrain has been tailor-made for cruising and open-air pleasure.
This model was delivered new in July 1996 to the BMW dealership in Noisy-le-Sec, before quickly making its way to the south of France, where it was used successively in the Montpellier region and in Nice.

In 2020, it was acquired by its current owner.

Recent work has been carried out, including replacement of the front suspension arms and heating radiator, all of which are documented by invoices.
