In the early 1970s, the MGC racing spirit lived on, thanks to the work of British specialists.

Among them was John Chatham, driver, tuner and key figure in the MG world, who produced a number of "Sebring" conversions, directly inspired by the cars the brand raced at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Renowned for his methodical approach and intimate knowledge of MG racing models, Chatham has fashioned some of the most sought-after preparations in the field over the years.
The example presented here is based on a 1968 French MGC, sent to John Chatham in 1972 at the request of a French customer to be transformed into a Sebring configuration.

The car was fitted with the characteristic features of the competition versions:
Wider fenders and specific panels, hard-top and roll-bar, targeted lightening in the spirit of endurance cars.
