The Jaguar XKR follows in the footsteps of the brand's great sports coupes, heir to the XK of the 1950s and then the XJ-S.

Launched at the end of the 1990s, it was based on the XK8, but adopted a supercharger, renewing the idea of a powerful GT in the tradition of the V12 E-Type or supercharged XJR.

Its major evolution came in 2002 with the more modern and reliable 4.2-liter V8, consolidating its position among high-performance coupes.
