Designed as the successor to the 250 GT Tour de France, it adopted a wheelbase reduced to 2,400 mm, favoring agility, while retaining the classic lines designed by Pinin Farina and realized by Scaglietti.
This configuration made the car both competitive on the racetrack and perfectly usable on the road, a rare synthesis for its time.
