When Aston Martin came under the control of David Brown in 1947, the brand really began to develop, introducing new models: the DB1 in 1948, the DB2 in 1950 and the DB2/4 in 1953.
With these models, Aston Martin finally scored its first Le Mans victories.
Several body styles were available, including a convertible, the DHC for Drop Head Coupe.
Between 1950 and 1953, fewer than 100 DB2 DHCs were produced, of which only a minority were equipped with the 125 hp Vantage engine.
Our example is one of these, the convertible of the range.
Equipped with the optional Vantage engine, it was delivered new from the Brook Lands dealership in London in 1953.
We know from the Aston Martin Register that in 1975 the car was owned by a certain G.H Brown and registered NUV 923.
