Stylistic and mechanical evolution of the 348, the Ferrari F355 is born in 1994, it is part of the line of rear mid-engine sedans established since the mid 1960s by the Dino 206 then 246 and especially in the early 1970s with the 308 Vetroresina.
Even if the aesthetic lines of the F355 are still as taut as ever, they are starting to become rounder and prepare the important transition to the 360 Modena and the entry of the Maranello firm into the 21st century.
Mechanically, the F355 receives the 90° V8 of its predecessors which, here, is re-bored to 3.5L of displacement (as its name indicates 355) for 380 horsepower at the rear wheels which allows the coupe to approach 300 km/h.
