La Simca cinq (Fiat 500 Topolino A) est une petite automobile populaire biplace «à moins de 10 000 francs» (9 900 francs), conçue par les ingénieurs de Fiat à Turin avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Elle est présentée la première fois à Nanterre dans la première usine Simca, le 10 mars 1936, trois mois avant la version italienne et produite à 46 472 exemplaires.

La direction de Simca explique alors: «Nous sommes en avance sur les désirs exprimés de l'autre côté du Rhin», en faisant allusion à la future «Coccinelle» allemande de Volkswagen qui sortira seulement en 1938.


Cette Simca 5 est unique par son histoire connue depuis le bon de commande réalisé auprès du concessionnaire Simca de Chalon Sur Saône le 8 novembre 1938 par monsieur Hommet.

Acquise pour 16 980 Francs moins la réduction de 400 Francs offerte par la concession, M.
