Peu connues sur notre territoire, les TVR sont des voitures de
passionnés comme l’Angleterre sait si bien en produire ! Fabriquées
artisanalement au fin fond de l’Hampshire, elles étaient conçues pour
la course.
C’est donc d’une caisse en fibre de verre et d’un châssis
tubulaire que naquit en 1972 la 3000M dont le dessin reprend les
grandes lignes des Vixen et Grantura.
Le cadre lui, s’inspire de celui
développé pour la Tuscan V8 S tandis que le moteur V6 Essex de 3.0L
est emprunté à Ford.
L’exemplaire proposé est en bon état général et dans une sympathique
livrée bleu métal à toit vinyle noir.
Son actuel propriétaire l’a acquise
en 2009 aux abords de Bristol avant de remplacer le moteur de 3.0L
d’origine par une version préparée du V6 Essex portée à 3.1L pour
une puissance d’environ 170 chevaux.
