Notre F.22 à carrosserie Vutotal (brevet Labourdette) se caractérise par ses fenêtres et son pare-brise sans montant.
Le modèle participera à de nombreux concours d’élégance dont celui du Parc des Princes en 1938, piloté par Madame Jacques Savoye.
Il remportera en 1937 le Grand Prix d’honneur du Gardenia ainsi que le concours d’élégance du Bois de Boulogne en 1939.
Cette Chenard F.22 est restée sur cale pendant 30 ans dans son état d’origine.
Utilisée par son premier propriétaire quelques mois seulement, elle fut ensuite remisée pendant 3 décennies.
Les seules réparations nécessaires pour sa remise en route ont été le changement d’un joint de culasse et une simple vidange.
Notre exemplaire a un faible kilométrage d’origine ce qui est rationnel étant donné son immobilisation de 30 ans.
