La Société des automobiles Georges Irat a été créée en 1921 par Georges Irat sur la base d'une autre marque, basée à Chatou et qu'il avait rachetée, Majola. Après avoir fabriqué depuis le début des années 20 des modèles haut de gamme, équipés de moteurs 2 litres de sa conception puis de moteurs américains 6 ou 8 cylindres, Georges IRAT se lance dans la fabrication d'une
voiture de sport légère. Elle est disponible en 2 carrosseries, cabriolet ou roadster.
Ce dernier bénéficie d'une ligne plus agréable
et remportera plus de succès.
La mécanique fait appel à un moteur RUBY et à une (rare pour l'époque) transmission au roues avant.
Cette architecture donnait à cette voiture une tenue de route et une agilité exceptionnelle permettant de compenser la faible puissance du moteur.
