Sortie de l’usine AC en 1933 sous la forme d’un Coupé Saloon Sport, notre type 16-66 fut rappelé par AC en 1938 (souvent à l’époque) pour bénéficier d’une transformation en Roadster 2 places habillé d’une carrosserie 100% aluminium.
Carrosserie qui est d’ailleurs conçue pour courir puisqu’on l’équipe d’ailes courtes et un « cul pointu ».(informations provenant du Président de AC Angleterre)
C’est une voiture qui a appartenu pendant plus de 40 ans à un collectionneur Espagnol, puis est arrivée en France il y a plus de 20 ans et s’est illustrée à de nombreuses reprises lors de rallies ou circuits.
Elle est complètement d’origine et présente une très belle patine, tant en carrosserie qu’en sellerie.
Il y a une dizaine d’années elle connaît un problème mécanique lors du Mans Classic et son moteur est envoyé en Angleterre pour une réfection totale.
Sa boîte de vitesse est une Moss 1ère version comme à l’origine.
