Quand on regarde une «24», on ne peut s'empêcher de se demander pourquoi il n'y a pas eu de suite.
La Panhard 24 est présentée à la presse le 24 juin 1963.
Le type 24 provient du nombre de victoire de la marque aux 24 Heures du Mans du moins en ce qui concerne le moteur.
Ce nouveau modèle est bas, anguleux et se présente sous la forme d'un coupé deux portes quatre glaces.
Avec sa façade si caractéristique et son toit plat, elle a réellement de l'allure.
La surface vitrée est énorme avec les fins montants qui soutiennent le pavillon.
Le moteur est le prestigieux bicylindre à plat refroidit par air.
Les premiers exemplaires sortiront des chaînes à la fin 1963.
