FORD VEDETTE V8 Présentée au salon de Paris 1948, la Ford Vedette est une limousine deux volumes avec son arrière fastback.
Le Pare-brise est en deux parties en coupe vent.
Pour le millésime 1950, deux nouvelles versions voient le jour: un coupé et un cabriolet.
C'est pour le modèle 1953, que la berline 6 glaces trois volumes fait son apparition.
Le pare-brise est maintenant d'une seule pièce et deux antibrouillards sont montés en série dans la calandre.
Le moteur est V8 de 2 158 cc fiscalement taxé pour 12 cv.
Avec ses six glaces latérales et son V8, le modèle Vedette de Ford France est une des vraie concurrente de la Citroën 15/6, la Traction à 6 cylindres.
C'est sur la base du châssis de Vedette que Facel construit, à partir de 1952, la magnifique Comête pour le compte de Ford.
