It has has had just ONE owner from new.
Its current owner purchased the car new in 1976 at the age of 26, and the original purchase invoice dated 4th November 1976 remains within the history file, describing the supply of a new right-hand-drive Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider to UK specification.
Shortly after purchasing it, the owner took the Alfa overseas while serving with HM Armed Forces, spending approximately three years with the car abroad and enjoying exactly the sort of continental motoring for which an open Alfa was made.
On returning to Britain it was re-imported, with the V5C dated May 1979.
Now, after an extraordinary 50 years of continuous ownership, the car is being offered for sale by the man who bought it new.
