Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan was the son of a vicar, but unlike his father and grandfather, he chose not to enter the church.

Instead, he became an engineering apprentice with the railway.

In 1910, he founded the Morgan Motor Company Ltd and showcased his first three-wheeler at the Motor Cycle Show that same year, the F4 and later replaced by the F2 (a two-seater) in 1936.
