This is one of those Defenders where the recent invoice tells you more than any amount of sales talk ever could.

In June 2026, with the mileage showing around 95,500, the owner handed ‘AJ59VKU’ over to the Land Rover Centre in Huddersfield with a sizeable list of jobs to work through.

The resulting bill came to £11,400.

And it wasn't £11,400 spent on fancy wheels, leather trim and making an old Defender look like a new one.

The money went into the stuff you want to see done on a 17-year-old 110.

A new heavy-duty galvanised rear crossmember was welded in, new front swivel kits were fitted, the front brakes received new discs, pads and callipers and the rear A-frame ball joint was replaced.

The invoice also covers a full service, glow plugs, coolant pipe work, exhaust hangers, door wiring, a window regulator and door lock, drive-shaft seals and plenty of associated parts and fittings.
