We are very pleased to bring to market, we believe for the first time at auction, this very attractive and well-presented Ford Escort RS 2000 finished in arguably the best colour of Olympic blue with the darker blue broad stripes.

It is finished off with a set of RS-style alloy wheels and the Cibie spot lights on the front matched by the correct quarter bumpers, giving this RS the look it should have.

This example was built by AVO (Advanced Vehicle Operations) at Aveley in 1973 and carries the chassis number ‘BFATNE00027’, which possibly means it is the 27 th example made by Ford.

It is believed that only c.3,700 examples were made, as it had a very short production run, making it one of the rarest Ford performance cars around - and possibly one of the most desirable to own.

The paintwork presents very well, as does ...
