The car is a 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL 280 with 70,000 miles and a MOT valid until June 2027. It has a desirable facelift model, original UK mainland example, and a delightful color combination with a factory hardtop. The service book contains 10 stamps, with the last service in August 2024. It also has a fresh battery and two new tires. The alloy wheels appear to have been recently refurbished. The burr walnut on the dash and wheel is in lovely condition. The black soft top is in good condition and functions correctly. The car comes with Manx registration certificate, fresh MOT with no advisories, full book pack, bundle of invoices, original delivery checklist, and spare key. There is some wear to the driver's seat leather, particularly the bolster, which is the only noted cosmetic imperfection. Mechanically, it is sound with recent service and new tires/battery.

We are very pleased to offer this 1998 Mercedes SL280 in Vivianite metallic with Safron interior.

First registered in August 1998, it was supplied to the UK mainland wearing the plate ‘S32 AMC’.

Just over a year later it was exported to the Isle of Man where it has spent the rest of its life, hence the very moderate mileage.

It was optioned with the wooden gear knob, wood and leather steering wheel, CD changer and heated seats.

The service book contains 10 stamps, with a further service recorded in the bundle of accompanying invoices.

The last service was in August 2024, since then it has also had a fresh battery and two new tyres.

With most R129 SLs being supplied in black or silver, the vivid green that is Vivianite metallic is a breath of fresh air and looks stunning in the sunshine.

The SL comes with its factory hardtop to give a bit of extra security and insulation in the colder months.

The hood itself is black and in good condition, functioning correctly during our photo ...
