AI Listing Summary

This 2001 Bentley Arnage Red Label, a 'charming example' of a hand-built British icon, sold for £8,050 with 75,000 miles. Despite a comprehensive history and desirable features, a failed head gasket test indicates substantial mechanical work is needed.

Condition

3

The listing explicitly states that the car has failed a head gasket test, indicating a significant mechanical issue. While the exterior and interior are described positively with features like 'Beluga black with black hide and walnut dash' and 'heated memory seats', the mechanical problem significantly lowers the condition rating.

The Arnage was the last of a long line of hand-built Bentleys, exhibiting craftsmanship skills for which Bentley had long been famed.

The famously smooth 400bhp 616 lb/ft turbocharged 6.75-litre V8 provides impressive pace but more importantly smoothness, a byword of the Bentley.

Some would say this is a real Bentley before they got taken over by VW Group.

This example was supplied new by Jack Barclay on 27/3/2001 and is finished in Beluga Black with polished 5-spoke alloys displaying 'Red Label' centre caps.

Complete with an interior in full black hide with a double-stitched top roll and white-faced instruments set in a superb, figured Walnut dashboard.

Optioned with heated memory seats, electric mirrors, CD Player, front and back arm rests, easy-access steering wheel, Satnav, and parking sensors.

Accompanied by a service book containing 14 stamps, book pack and manuals, invoices, and previous MOTs and SORN documents showing it off the road for periods of time, which may back up...
