The DeHavilland Motor Company, founded in 2011 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk by Mr Terry Groves, took over some designs from Deon Cars, which he revised, and thus began producing automobiles and kits.

The brand name was DVT.

On offer were a GT model - a Coupé, and the Targa roofed GTS.

Initially, Lancia engine powered, the DVT switched to the MG F power plant.

Described as ‘an exacting replica built to a late-1972 spec’ of admired Southern European-influenced lines, it is hard to argue against that, after all, we understand the fibreglass body was taken from a mould, which was in turn taken from a 1972….well…we’ll let you decide what it was.

Some evocations are a little hard to fathom, however, creating a ‘riproduzione’ of what is many people’s ‘world's most desirable car’ - especially when prices of the originals are now reaching half a million pounds), is not at all difficult to comprehend.

Evoking the design or look of an iconic Southern European supercar is no easy feat.
