2018 marked the 70 th anniversary of Porsche and to celebrate Porsche GB commissioned twenty special edition restorations of its most iconic models.

It was an exercise not only in restoring these cars to ‘better than new’ but also demonstrating that Porsche GB had the in-house capability to restore older Porsche models.

All the cars were finished in special ‘Liquid Metal’ silver metallic paint (developed for the Porsche 918 hypercar) with black interiors.

They received a bare metal restoration complete with a full engine overhaul.

Mixing air-cooled, water-cooled and transaxle models, the Porsche’s approach was to keep the cars as original as possible whilst adding some bespoke touches such as exclusive paint (with a subtle 70 th anniversary graphic), and bespoke seat trimming in original Porsche-branded cloth.

Each car also got a commemorative plaque.
