In 2018, Porsche celebrated their 70th anniversary and to commemorate this occasion Porsche GB, with the assistance of their dealers, decided to restore 20 of their famous models.
Managing Director Marcus Eckermann wrote the following:

Porsche is synonymous with sports car construction at the very highest level and 2018 marked our 70th anniversary.
To celebrate this milestone, Porsche Cars Great Britain undertook a special restoration project to restore an exclusive selection of models from different chapters of Porsche history.
As one of only 20 examples, and the only 924 Turbo, the above vehicle was expertly restored by skilled and passionate Porsche technicians.
