The Escort Cabriolet was developed in collaboration with Karmann and introduced in the early 1980s, with production numbers significantly lower than the standard hatchback models.
The Solar variant represents one of the earlier and less commonly encountered specifications, making surviving examples increasingly rare today, particularly in honest, largely original condition.
