The body shape common to all models was designed by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone and was one of Giugiaro’s first major projects for the design house and drew significant inspiration from his earlier work on the Alfa Romeo 2000 Sprint and 2600 Sprint.

The Alfa Romeo 105 and 115 series Coupés were produced by the Italian manufacturer from 1963 to 1977.

They were based on a shortened version of the Giulia Saloon’s floorpan and served as successors to the Giulietta Sprint Coupé.

In 1966, the Giulia Sprint GT was replaced by the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce.

The Sprint GT Veloce debuted at the 36th Geneva Motor Show in March 1966 and was later tested by the international press at Lake Garda.

Production began in 1965 and continued until 1968, when the Sprint GT Veloce was succeeded by the 1750 GT Veloce.

The Veloce version of the Sprint GT is really quite rare to see on the road today and if you know Alfa Romeo you will know the name Alfaholics - the renowned Somerset-based Alfa...
