This rare cherry red 1961 Morris Mini exhibits stacks of patina and age related marks, but the very fact it is here today tells a tale.
If you are looking for a mint Mini of the same era, then this isn’t the one for you.
But what you do have is a 64 year old Mini that still retains many original features such as the chrome front window latches, floor start, magic wand gearbox, piano hinge rear windows, instrument binnacle, and steering wheel to name but a few.
The Mini comes to us with limited history, although the MOT certificates on file suggest the present mileage could be correct.
The exterior condition is average at best, with evidence of rust in the normal Mini areas, plus there is a decent sized scratch on the rear driver's quarter.
Later style chrome wheel trims are fitted and the grille has been painted black.
