The R53 MINI Cooper S JCW GP - commonly called the GP1 - was released in 2006 as a limited-production, high-performance farewell to the first generation of modern MINIs.
Based on the supercharged R53 Cooper S, it was hand-finished by Bertone in Italy and limited to 2,000 units worldwide, making it the rarest factory-produced MINI of its era.
MINI removed the rear seats, added unique aero components, lightweight 18-inch wheels, a rear strut brace, and a distinctive roof spoiler to reduce weight and improve handling.
The Eaton-supercharged 1.6-litre engine was tuned to produce 215 hp, making it the most powerful MINI ever at the time.
With its numbered production plaque, special ‘Thunder Blue’ paint, and track-focused setup, the R53 GP established the template for future GP models and remains a cult favourite among MINI enthusiasts.
We are delighted to offer this 2006 Mini Cooper S GP in Thunder Blue with black leather interior.
