Here we have a very easy and pleasing example that just needs finishing, a Lotus Elan S4 SE DOHC Convertible.

Finished in the very traditional colour combination of yellow with the gold stripe and white sills, with the contrasting black interior and black hood.

According to the certificate of provenance produced on 6/10/2014 from Andy Graham, the company archivist for Lotus Cars, ‘KFX873G’ left the Lotus factory on 14/11/1968 and was sold through a dealer called Huxhams in the UK.

Fast forward to today, this Elan is being offered as an almost complete rebuild.

There is only a little bit left to do, mainly the paintwork, but even this is in great condition - although having it done would take it to the next level.

The vendor has informed us that the engine has just had a rebuild, and looks and runs very well in its refurbished state.

The interior is almost perfect, bar a few small cracks on the dash top, which is believed to be the original.
