The MkIV was a continuation of the Jaguar SS series of cars produced from 1945 to 1948 and was available in two main engine sizes: the 1.5 litre and the 3 ½ litre.

They were a post-war vehicle that took the world by storm and showcased a stylish interior and all-steel construction.

Built on 23rd January 1947, chassis 610839 was distributed by Henly’s, London on 4th February 1947 and registered as ‘HXV 676’ prior to being shipped to the USA, possibly, very shortly after.

It’s rare to find surviving right-hand drive examples, especially those that were sent to and have subsequently returned to the UK (c.

June 1987).

Many of these right-hand drive MkIVs were exported due to their all-steel chassis, primarily the 3 ½ litre forms.

This example spectacularly showcases every bit of luxury and elegance that Jaguar were known for.
