We don’t know a lot about the first owner of this very interesting Capri 1.6, other than he lived and purchased it in the Exeter area back in January 1984.
The earliest MOT we can access is from 2009 when the mileage was recorded at 77,128, low mileage for what was then a 25 year old car.
Not a high spec example being an LS but it was ordered with a manual sunroof from new and a Kenwood radio cassette.
Thankfully, the owner wisely decided to have it Ziebart undersealed, which seems to have done its job, as we can see no signs of serious corrosion.
Finished in non-metallic blue with tartan blue and grey cloth upholstery, the Capri is in a very honest state, sporting its original paintwork, which whilst showing some age related minor chips, scratches and the odd rust bubble, is almost certainly the paint it left the factory with 41 years ago.
We are pleased to see that the rear parcel shelf is intact and devoid of speaker holes.
