The Mercedes-Benz W126, produced from 1979 to 1991, was the second generation of the S-Class line and marked a significant evolution in luxury, safety, and engineering excellence.

Designed by Bruno Sacco, the W126 introduced a sleeker, more aerodynamic profile compared to its predecessor, the W116, and emphasized fuel efficiency in response to the 1970s oil crises.
