Looking great in its radiant red paintwork and alloys, this XR3i is a very late Mark 4 model having been registered in November 1991.

Recently partially recommissioned after a long period of storage (20 years we believe), which we are told included the fitting of a new battery, cambelt and alternator, the Escort has recently passed an MOT so is ready for the next 12 months of use, although it is safe to assume some further recommissioning may be required given its time in storage.

The central locking is also temperamental and will need looking at.

It is rare to find such an original and unmolested example as this.

There are no speaker holes in the rear parcel shelf, the alloys are the original factory cross spokes, the front spots look great, the decals look original (there is a new boot decal in the file as the one fitted is faded), and there are only three previous owners showing on the logbook, one of which was the mother of the vendor.
